What is BPC-157?
BPC-157 stands for Body Protection Compound 157. It is a synthetic pentadecapeptide (a chain of 15 amino acids) originally isolated from human gastric juice. Research began in the 1990s at the University of Zagreb under Professor Slobodan Sikiric, who has led most of the published work on it since.

Effects, what does the research say?
Most BPC-157 studies are in rodents. That matters: the results look strong, but this is not clinically proven human medicine yet. The animal work is solid and has been reproduced by several independent labs over about three decades.
Tendon & Muscle Regeneration
This is the most-studied area for BPC-157. In rodent studies it speeds tendon healing, especially for Achilles and rotator-cuff injuries.

Gut & Stomach Protection
BPC-157 comes from the digestive system, and that is where its research effects are clearest. It protects the gastric mucosa, helps heal gastric ulcers, and reduces inflammation in the gut.
